Pleasure Yacht Pre-Purchase Condition Survey services

Buying a yacht or sailing boat is an exciting but significant decision. Whether you are purchasing your first boat or adding to your fleet, a professional pre-purchase survey is the best way to understand exactly what you are buying. Our independent assessment reveals the true condition of the vessel, identifies hidden defects, and helps you negotiate a fair price.

Comprehensive Yacht Inspection

Our pleasure yacht surveys cover the hull structure and integrity (including osmosis detection for GRP hulls), deck hardware and fittings, rigging and sails (for sailing yachts), engine and mechanical systems, electrical systems and batteries, plumbing and through-hulls, navigation and safety equipment, and the general condition of interior and accommodation spaces.

We use moisture meters, ultrasonic thickness gauges, and other diagnostic tools to detect problems that are not visible to the naked eye. For vessels afloat, we conduct a thorough topsides inspection. When the vessel can be hauled out, we also inspect the underwater hull, rudder, propeller, and antifouling condition.

Clear, Honest Reporting

Our yacht survey reports are written in clear, non-technical language so that you can understand every finding. We include photographs of any issues discovered, a summary of the vessel's overall condition, and recommendations for repairs or further investigation. Our reports are accepted by marine insurers and lenders.
